The piece of land that Elly de Laat discovered and purchased in 2011 was a place she instantly felt deeply connected to. It became her life’s work.
It is a beautiful, simple place in the mountains, tucked away in the forests of the High Vosges in France.

About Me
Although Elly is the permanent resident of the location, many people have helped build up the property.
Therefore at the end of 2016, it was decided to found Le Petit Gazon. Elly is the driving force together with her sisters and her family. She grew up as a farmer’s daughter and the eldest of a family of six. She started her career with a small business as an organic gardener. She later became a creative therapist and worked in that profession for twenty years. Over time she further developed herself as a relationship and family therapist in the Netherlands.
She moved to France in 2009 and started to work as a counsellor for Dutch youths who follow a special education programme. Since 2019 she is also active as a nanny in Switzerland.
At the age of 64 she felt the need to connect more closely and work more directly with people, and studied at the ISSB Institute in Zürich to become a Sexological Bodyworker. You can read more about these offerings on Elly’s bodywork website.
